Aven is FOUR

I took Aven out for a day of pampering for her birthday. We got our nails done and them took her for her first hair trim:) She was so excited about time with just her mommy, and some extra-special treatment.

FIrst trip to the Dean Dome!

We surprised the kids and took them to their first UNC basketball game! They were so excited, they could hardly stand it!

The boys begged to write Marcus Page a letter to ask for his autograph. We warned them, that they probably wouldn't receive anything back from him. But a few weeks later they both got some mail....and they were ECSTATIC!

Levi's Sunday best

Levi loves Sundays. He wakes up at the crack of dawn and hangs out with Daddy while he finishes his sermon, and then gets to go to Bojangles on the way to help all of the men set up for church. This particular Sunday, he wanted to dress up in a white shirt, tie, and dress shoes.

I got a call from Brian while i was on my way to church telling me that he was on his way to take Levi to the urgent care because Levi had gashed his head open. Levi's white shirt and tie were completely covered in blood. We were taken care of by the sweetest PA, who passed us notes letting us know what she would be doing (so Levi wouldn't hear). Levi didn't even flinch for the anesthetic or 5 staples! And didn't complain once about pain as his head was healing. We even returned to church afterwards and made it back for the service! He is such a brave kid!

We honestly weren't even sure what Levi hit his head on. Ed heard him scream, rushed to him first, and was catching pools of blood in his hands. Eric suggested we call this specific Urgent care to check to see if they did staples rather than take him to the ER (we are so thankful!), and then held Levi while Brian ran to get his truck. We are so thankful how well Levi was loved and taken care of throughout the whole morning.
