10 months!

Why do we always seem suprised when our babies turn another month older? Time goes by so fast....but at the same time, i cannot remember what life was like with just Brody! Having 2 kids was an adjustment, but i honestly think i prepared myself for much worse! It was not as bad as i thought, mostly thanks to Levi and what a good baby he was:) I am sitting here watching Brody and Levi play together, REALLY play together! giggling and laughing:) They really do entertain each other. Levi gets so fussy and bored when Brody isnt around! Brody is an AMAZING big brother. Levi is so lucky to have him. I am positive there isnt anything Brody could do to make him a better big brother. OK, now all about Levi.....
*Crawling a mile a minute. Hes been crawling since 7 1/2 months and is still no where near walking.
*Pulling up on everything
*Waves Bye Bye. He has said Bye bye a few times while waving:)
*Says Dada, Mama, and Nonna all of the time! Im beginnning to think he knows what they mean
*Has a smile and giggle that just makes you melt
*Loves his big brother more than anything
*Eats 3 meals a day with some finger foods and drinks 3 bottles a day (I am officially done nursing, but he will continue to have breastmilk until he is 1 year because of all of it i have saved up in my freezer:)
*He eats anything you put in his mouth...hes definitely not picky
*Loves the water and loves to splash!
*Loves to sit on his knees and it is just about the cutest thing ever:)
*Loves to wrestle his big brother
*Becoming quite the Momma's boy....and i dont really mind:)
We love you, Levi! Thank you for all the joy and sweetness you bring to us daily!
No Paci!
Well my little boy is all grown up....we are on night #5 without pacis! I know, I know....hes 3 1/2! Whats taken so long, you ask? He's never been attached to a blankie or stuffed animal, just his pacis. He loves them....He never would whine or fuss about naps or bedtime, because he knew his pacis were in his bed (we confined them to just the bed a long time ago). He has always held one in his hand and had the other one in his mouth. On Friday night, we lost one of them. I have no idea where it went. So I told Brody that he was going to have to sleep with just ONE paci that night. He said, "Well, lastday I didnt sleep with any pacis!" Translation: One time, I slept without my pacis! which i have no idea what he is talking about, because he has ALWAYS slept with them. So i jokingly said, "well give me the other one then!" And he handed it to me! I walked out of the room and said goodnight and Brian and i stood outside of his room and placed bets on how many seconds it would be before he called me in there to give him his paci. We waited for a few minutes and he did call me in there, but he never once asked for his paci, he just asked me to lay down with him. He went right to sleep! So the next morning i walked into his room cheering and yelling and he looked so proud of himself! I put candles in his breakfast that morning and sang "Happy No-Paci Day to you". Every morning we have added a candle to his breakfast and we told him that if he goes to whole week without pacis we will reward him at the end!
Topsail- 4th of July
I love weeks with my family...especially at the beach house. We grew up there...our summers were spent there...and we have so many memories there! When I think of my summers as a child, the beach is what comes to mind. I love that now my boys get to enjoy it too! Its so crazy to me that there are pictures of me in that same house as a newborn, and now I have pictures of my kids there as well. What made this week even more special was that my brother was there with his wife and new baby:) It was Emmersyn's first trip to the beach house! I love having us all together and having a few days with my new niece to get to know her better.

Dad brought the boat and we all enjoyed skiing, tubing, and wakeboarding. Brody got in the tube for the first time by himself and LOVED it! he didnt want to stop! We told him the hand signal for how to get us to stop the boat if he needed us to. He would do it every once in awhile and when we would stop the boat and pull him in, he would get a big grin on his face and say he wanted to go again...little stinker:)

We started the process of teaching Brody to ski. Its so hard to believe that at his age (3 1/2), I was already learning to ski behind the boat! I dont know what my parents were thinking....Brody looks SO little to be doing something like that, LOL! Brian spent alot of time running around in the water pulling him around on this training board that we have and he was doing great! Hopefully with a few more trips to the lake this year, he will get better and better.

Levi went on the boat for the first time. He was not at all thrilled about the life jacket. He pretty much fussed and squirmed the whole entire time the boat wasn't moving, but thankfully as soon as the boat would take off, he was fine! He would fall asleep within 2 minutes of the boat starting up every time:)

Brody spent some time fishing with PopPop. He caught his first fish totally by himself this year:)

The fireworks are aways something to look forward to at our house every year. Our house sticks out on a point and we can see about 10 different sets of fireworks going off! You can see all of the surrounding towns, doing their big shows plus all of the other people that are doing them from their own houses. Brody was in AWE! Hes always loved fireworks and never been scared thankfully. He would just squeal and yell "KABOOM" with every firework that went off (which was alot of them!) He wanted to stay up until he didnt see anymore....which was extremely late!

It was such a perfect week with my family! I love them!

9 1/2 months and 3 years 7 months
Brody and Levi both went in for well-checks and vaccines this week. I was a little concerned at how i was going to handle both of them getting shots in the same day. Brody hasnt had a shot in a long time.....in fact, it was so long ago, i dont think he remembers and he was so young that he didnt really know what was going on. SO...i was a little nervous about how it would go:) But he was his amazingly calm sweet self as always....i explained what was going to happen and he held my hands and didnt even cry. I am always so proud of that kid! Brody is still off the charts for his height (43.5 inches and 42 lbs). Levi is 38th percentile for weight (20 lbs 3 oz) and 67th percentile for height (29 inches). Hes a little munchkin compared to what Brody was at his age. Brody was 23 lbs 12 oz and 32 inches at 10 months old. I am so in love with my boys! Levi is turning out to be quite the momma's boy and Brody could not be a more perfect big brother. I dont think i could say enough how amazing he is with Levi and how much he loves his little brother:)
