Look who got her ears pierced!

Aven did great getting her ears pierced! She sat so still and was so excited! The lady who was piercing her ears said that she was the best 2 year old she had seen:) They would not pierce both ears at the same time. So as soon as they did the first ear Aven screamed, then I quickly turned her head and held it to my chest and they did the other one. I had a lollipop in hand, gave it to her, and all was good! She loves her earrings and I think they look adorable! 

Kindergarten complete!

Kindergarten is complete! We are so proud of Brody and how well he did this year! This year could not have been more perfect. Brody flew threw his curriculum and we ended up going to the next level up in math and reading/writing halfway through the year. It was great being able to go through material at Brody's own pace and not wait on an entire class to understand a concept! We typically did his schoolwork in the afternoon while Levi and Aven took their naps. It worked out great! He was able to have the mornings to play and just be a kid:) We did some field trips with our homeschool co-op and were able to take lots of trips during the week and take school on the road! I was looking through pictures of this year and realizing how much Brody would have missed out on and how much we would have missed out on with Brody if he was at school 7 hours a day. It was a joy and a privilege to teach him this year! We are so proud of him! 

We went out for dinner at Kanki to celebrate the end of the school year!

Pool time!

The pool is open for the summer! On our first pool trip I realized that having a 2 and 3 year old at the pool is much easier than a 1 and 2 year old:)

Brody is 6 1/2!!!

We celebrate half-birthdays around here! Because what kid isn't excited about finally being half a year older!

Another trip to the zoo

Lindsay brought her two girls in town to go to the zoo, so my mom and I tagged along! The cousins had so much fun together!

Funny story:

At the zoo, I mentioned to the kids that we may stop and get a milkshake on the way home. Levi has a major sweet youth and was super excited! Of course it took him all of 2 minutes to fall asleep on the way home from the zoo. So we kept driving. We were back in Raleigh, when he sat straight up from a dead sleep and said (in an extremely serious tone) "We are NOT going home without a milkshake!!"
