Merry Christmas

The whole week leading up to Christmas was filled with sickness. I had a flu-like virus for 3 days and then a couple of days later both boys came down with it. Aven woke up with it Christmas morning (of course). We were still able to enjoy Christmas morning thanks to motrin, but we had to postpone our trip to Virginia to visit Brian's family. My mom had the virus too, but PopPop came over to visit the kids and see their presents on christmas morning. Despite a lot of sickness, we enjoyed the day and eventually got to celebrate with everyone:) 

Buck

We had to say goodbye to our sweet Buck. He had been with us since the first year of our marriage. He was such a good boy. We had many adventures together! There will never be another horse with the spirit that Buck had! The farm will never be the same without him.

Frozen on Ice

These two little buddies turn 3 years old just one day apart. So the mommies treated the girls for Disney on Ice for their birthdays! Aven still tells me how happy she was on that day. "Mommy, i so happy when i saw Frozen".

Gotcha Day

We didn't do a lot of celebrating for Aven's Gotcha Day this year, due to spending the half the day in the Pediatrician's office with Brody (croup). BUT I did read some of my blog book to Aven and showed her our adoption video. She watching it over and over and OVER again!

2nd Annual Christmas Tea

Exchange Church held our second annual Christmas Tea! All of the women and little girls looked forward to having it again this year! Its so much fun to see the little girls get all dress up! Aven looked exceptionally adorable:)

Getaway

Brian and I took a couple of days of his Thanksgiving break and went to Charlotte for the night! We were able to pretty much do all of our Christmas shopping and get a much needed night away. 

Brody's 7th Birthday

We celebrated Brody's 7th birthday in Virginia this year along with his Cousin Joslyn who was turning 4! We had a princess and superhero party with all 11 cousins and they all had a blast!

Homeschool Thanksgiving Party

We celebrated Thanksgiving (on Brody's birthday) with our homeschool co-op. We read the book Stone Soup and every child brought one ingredient for our soup! Ive never seen the kids so excited about vegetable soup before:) They loved getting to help make it and having a part in preparing the food. They made Pilgrim and Indian hats and a few other fun crafts.
